Acupuncture is stimulation of Acupuncture points to control and regulate the flow and balance of energy in the body, in order to decrease pain and increase health. The term "Medical" Acupuncture is used to differentiate between physicians with a Doctorate degree (MD, DO, DC, ND, DPM) practicing Acupuncture and non-physician practitioners practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Medical Acupuncture utilizes scientific and technologically advanced Acupuncture procedures in addition to ancient principles. In addition, Dr. Brown combines Acupuncture with Chiropractic and Physiotherapy for the fastest clinical results. Our average patient in pain is out of pain in 1-6 treatments.
Dr. Brown has a Diplomate in Acupuncture and Certification in Acupuncture Orthopedics from the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture. The International Academy of Medical Acupuncture has taught more than 20,000 Medical, Osteopathic, Chiropractic, Naturopathic and Podiatric physicians the principles of Acupuncture since 1973.
Dr. Brown conducts a free 30-minute Acupuncture seminar once a month. The seminar covers how Acupuncture works and which conditions can benefit from Acupuncture treatment. The seminar includes demonstrations of needle and non-needle Acupuncture treatment. Any potential new patient who attends receives a certificate for a free consultation and examination in our office! The seminars are held the first Thursday of every month. If you or someone you know would like to attend, please RSVP to us by emailing elissa@brownchiro.com or calling us at 480.377.1226 to reserve your space.
